Well. I lost my last grandparent this morning. It was inevitable, the doctors already said he wouldn’t be going home from hospital and it was certainly a relief for him by now but… yeah.
Still, he lived through a war, came home, lived to 89 and it was really only in the last few months that it got really bad so I guess that’s all you can hope for. And I saw him last weekend and got to say goodbye in a way which is a lot more than some people get.
Going to my parents place soon so… any distractions after that would be welcome.
